Edge Edu

through our certification program.
Your hire did.

Edge Edu is the certification platform every talent must complete before they're active on the Edge marketplace. Industry-specific training, HIPAA certification, professional skills — with only a 2-4% pass rate. When your Edge hire starts, they've already been trained on your industry's workflows. No other global hiring platform does this.

The Hiring Gamble

With traditional hiring and freelancer platforms,
you're gambling on self-reported skills.

A resume says they know medical billing. A Upwork profile says "expert in insurance processing." But you won't know if that's true until they're on the job — and by then, you've already invested weeks of training and onboarding.

Resumes are self-reported

There's no independent verification. Candidates describe their own skills, and you hope it's accurate. With Edge, every skill claim has been tested and certified.

You do all the training

Traditional hires show up on Day 1 knowing nothing about your workflows. You spend weeks — sometimes months — training them. That's time and money you don't get back if they leave.

Freelancer ratings are unreliable

A 5-star rating on Upwork doesn't mean someone understands prior authorizations, CDT coding, or insurance claim workflows. Ratings measure client satisfaction, not industry competence.

No HIPAA training

Freelancers and traditional hires don't come HIPAA-certified. If they handle PHI, you're responsible for training them — and liable if they make a mistake.

No professional skills vetting

Can they handle a call with a patient? Write a professional email? Manage US time zones? You won't know until it's too late. Edge Edu tests all of this.

High risk of bad fit

Without pre-certification, the odds of a mismatch are high. And when it doesn't work out, you start the whole hiring and training cycle over again.

The Edge Edu Difference

Only 2-4% of candidates
earn an Edge certification.

Edge Edu isn't a quick onboarding video or a compliance checkbox. It's a rigorous, self-paced certification program that takes about a month to complete — covering industry workflows, HIPAA, security, and professional skills. The 85% minimum score requirement and the program's depth mean most candidates don't make it. That's by design. When someone passes, you know they're ready.

Certification Tracks

Trained on your industry's workflows.
Before they ever start.

Every Edge professional completes an industry-specific certification track. They don't just learn generic skills — they learn the exact workflows, terminology, and tools your industry uses every day.

Required for All Talent

Every Edge hire — regardless of role —
also completes these.

These aren't optional add-ons. Every single person on the Edge marketplace has passed both of these certifications in addition to their industry track.

Mandatory

HIPAA & Security Certification

HIPAA Privacy & Security Rules, PHI handling procedures, breach notification protocols, data security best practices, clean desk policy, and secure communications. Every Edge hire is HIPAA certified — not just those in healthcare roles. Because every hire might touch sensitive data, and Edge doesn't take chances.

Mandatory

Professional Skills Certification

Business communication, US cultural and workplace norms, time zone management, email etiquette, video call professionalism, conflict resolution, and client relationship building. When your Edge hire joins a call with a patient or client, they sound professional, prepared, and culturally fluent.

Time to Productivity

Traditional hires start at zero.
Edge hires start at 70%.

You'll still train your Edge hire on your organization's specific systems, preferences, and workflows — that's unavoidable with any hire. But instead of starting from scratch, you're starting with someone who already understands your industry's terminology, processes, compliance requirements, and professional standards. Edge Edu gets them 70% or more of the way there before Day 1. You close the last 30%.

Why This Matters

Certification isn't a nice-to-have.
It changes the economics of hiring.

Faster time to value

Your hire already knows your industry's workflows, terminology, and compliance requirements. You close the last 30% instead of starting from zero. Weeks of training become days of orientation.

Lower training cost

You're not paying for basic industry training — Edge already covered it. Your investment goes into organization-specific knowledge, not teaching someone what a prior authorization is.

Lower replacement risk

With a 2-4% pass rate, the people who make it through are genuinely qualified. And if you ever need a replacement, Edge's marketplace is full of pre-certified talent — not random applicants.

Compliance from Day 1

Every hire is already HIPAA certified and trained on data security. You don't have to build or deliver compliance training — it's done before they start.

Resumes can be exaggerated.
Ratings can be gamed.
Certifications can't.
