Scenario at focus: Simmerer Insurance

Simmerer insurance agency is based out of Maryland, USA. Like most insurance agencies, Simmerer insurance was working at its full capacity with many employees reaching burnout. Hiring locally was a little out of their budget for managing back-end tasks. So, they decided to opt for Virtual assistants. Although, in the start everything was working smoothly but after a bit, their virtual assistant started slacking on them. The VA was absent for half of the working month. VAs are known for their unreliability in regards to punctuality and following deadlines. They have low retention rates and are considered to be a high-risk global hiring option. But on the other hand, Simmerer insurance knew they had to hire remote additional support for their agency but this time, they wanted a guaranteed option!

Since May 2022 Simmerer Insurance partnered with Edge and haven’t looked back since. During the initial strategy session, they provided us with a list of requirements especially looking for a bilingual candidate. After selection and onboarding, they had their very own global remote employee handling all the back-end stress at a fraction of a cost than an average local employee. This was not only a positive experience for the agency but for the remote employee as well. She readily fit into her workplace because of her prior training from Edge and picked up the pace. Simmerer insurance agency were so satisfied with her performance and work ethic that they decided to hire another global remote employee as well to complete their team.
